Unit Two: Shadows

In this unit we learned how to find the length of a shadow by using new skills. We learned how to use proportions and similar triangles and trigonometry. To find the length of a shadow that an object casts by using the height of an object, the height of the light source, the distance between the object and the light source. After that you could successfully determine the length of a shadow using that formula. The topics that were covered in this unit were trigonometry, proportions, similar triangles, inverse trig, the Pythagorean theorem and a few others. I feel like I grew a lot in this unit with learning some new skills that I had not previously known and learning how to find angles in triangles has been very beneficial.
